A letter from the President.
February 2008
Greeting to All ANACS Customers,
As you are likely aware, I purchased ANACS on December 21 and relocated it to Englewood, Colorado, a suburb of Denver. There were a number of reasons for the move. The best being, we are now much closer to the American Numismatic Association (ANA) and its museum’s world-class numismatic collection. ANACS already has the largest—and most valuable--numismatic library of any grading service, but being close to the ANA’s world-renowned library is an added benefit.
What this means for our customers is that ANACS can offer more varieties and attributions than all other grading services combined. Let me give you just one example. All other grading services attribute only the top 100, or so, VAMS. Thanks to the skill and expertise of John Roberts, ANACS attributes over 3,000 VAMS! This is why ANACS has long been called, “The Collectors’ Grading Service.”
You probably want to know what’s been happening since the move. In a word, we’re “busy.” Being closed for the holidays and then relocating to Colorado set our turnarounds back. I’m pleased to say that, with the exception of some Economy submissions, we are current. We’ve been shipping your coins back Fed Ex (fully insured and at no additional cost to you) to make up for the delays and have been offering free coin grades as compensation for late orders. It’s our way of saying “Sorry.”
We’ve had some challenges with our website—and did I mention our toll-free number being mistakenly shut off for a day?—but most everything seems to now be fixed. Our on-line submission tracking system is now fully functional and is refreshed in real-time. This way you can track the progress of your order as it moves from Receiving to the Grading Room to Shipping. Once the coins have been shipped you will be able to see your grades.
Meanwhile, we are fully staffed and everyone is on a mission to serve our customers to the very best of our abilities. I invite you to submit your coins to ANACS and see for yourself.
Thanks.
